I have been working on my doctoral research at the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki since 2015. In my research I investigate ethical questions stemming from my work as a dance pedagogue in disability services. The research has been funded by The Finnish Cultural Foundation,The Center for Educational Research and Academic Development in the Arts (CERADA), and the Performing Arts Research Centre at Uniarts. In 2016-2021 I was also involved in ArtsEqual research initiative, in 'Arts@School' and 'Arts in Health, Welfare and Care' research groups. The ArtsEqual research initiative, coordinated by the University of the Arts Helsinki, examines the arts as public service, with equality as the starting point, and explores how the arts can meet the social challenges of the 2020s.
